Spurs launch Game to Glory initiative for students in the US

1 October 2025

Football club Tottenham Hotspur is no stranger to esports in the UK. For some years now, the North Londoners have their own esports team, Tottenham Hotspur Esports, which mainly competes in the ePremier League (FIFA/EA FC). As a matter of fact, they made it all the way to Day 2 of the ePremier League Grand Finals, which were played in March of this year. Spurs lost 5-6 to Brighton & Hove Albion Esports in the semi-finals.

Despite their activities as one of the founding members of the ePremier League, the club is ready to take the next step in the world of esports. That is why they recently signed a partnership with PlayVS, the leading esports platform for students in North America, to launch Game to Glory. This initiative is aimed exclusively at students aged 13 to 22 in the United States and will consist of two separate EA FC 26 tournaments.

Tottenham Hotspur Game to Glory

The Tottenham Hotspur Game to Initiative focuses on both gaming and fan engagement, as there is a lot of untapped potential in terms of the latter in the United States. Through the project, the club wants to increase and improve its reach amongst US students. Besides the two tournaments, the finals of which will be livestreamed, Game to Glory is also meant to give young people in the United States a unique opportunity to get to know Spurs as a club, with its particular history and culture. On top of that, the timing seems exactly right as we are, at the moment of writing, less than a year away from the football World Cup 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

"Tottenham Hotspur is committed to finding innovative ways to connect with fans, and Game To Glory gives us the opportunity to inspire young audiences in the U.S. through a passion for football and gaming”, says Will Hattam, Marketing Director at Tottenham Hotspur, “By partnering with PlayVS, we can share the heritage of our Club, build connections, and inspire passion for football at a time when the sport's growth in the United States is building towards next summer's FIFA World Cup."

2 exclusive EA FC tournaments

As we wrote before, Spurs and PlayVS are planning to organize two exclusive tournaments per year as part of the Game to Glory initiative. The dates for both competitions have been revealed as well:

  • Event 1: Friday, October 10th, 2025 to Sunday, October 12th, 2025.
  • Event 2: Friday, October 24th, 2025 to Sunday, October 26th, 2025.

The final stages of each of these events will be livestreamed via official Spurs, PlayVS and Game to Glory channels.
"This program is truly unique, and PlayVS is proud to partner with Tottenham Hotspur to bring the excitement and passion of their club to students across the U.S." says Jon Chapman, CEO of PlayVS, "Together, we're opening new ways for young fans to connect with one of the world's most iconic soccer clubs while building community and inspiring the next generation."
