Brecon S.E.A. Dragons take home BFBS Pro League Season 2
13 October 2026
As usual, the month of September was once again full of esports action, including League of Legends Championship Korea (LCK) 2026 Season and BLAST Open Fall 2026, just to name a few high-profile events. Closer to home and closer to UK esports though, the RAF Museum in London hosted the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) Pro League Season 2, which was won by Brecon (Wales)-based S.E.A. Dragons. After three long months of qualifiers, the Welsh organisation managed to overcome top-seeded BAES Buzzards 2-4 in the Grand Final.
BFBS Pro League
Before we get into the BFBS Pro League Season 2 action, it is probably useful to explain what this competition really is. Because inside the world of esports in the UK, the British Forces Broadcasting Service plays a unique role. In recent years, the organisation has been eyeing UK sports more and more, and last year they announced the creation of their very own esports league. The BFBS Pro League is an esports league focused on Rocket League for members of the UK armed forces community, aimed at fostering both skills and comradery.
S.E.A. Dragons win Season 2
The British Army Esports team, BAES Buzzards, were considered heavy favourites for the BFBS Pro League Season 2 title and they showed why at the start of the Grand Final. S.E.A. Dragons had come through in impressive fashion, eliminating RAF Stormshadows among others on their way to the final, but they were not ready for Buzzards. Or at least, they were not ready for the favourites at the very start of the BFBS Pro League Season 2 decider. Buzzards got off to a flying start, winning match 1 (2-1 at Mannfield) and match 2 (3-1 at Forbidden Temple).
What looked like a relatively easy afternoon for BAES Buzzards, actually ended up turning into a spectacular comeback story. S.E.A. Dragons somehow found the power in match 3 at DHF Stadium to turn it around, taking a 0-1 victory in overtime. Buzzards was shook, but not shocked as they continued their run, but match 4 ended in favour of Dragons in overtime as well (1-2). The same went for match 3 at Sovereign Heights and suddenly S.E.A. Dragons was in the lead. The Welsh organisation then finished Buzzards off in the fifth and final match of the Grand Final, booking a 1-2 victory in regular time.
Analysis is king
After the impressive victory at BFBS Pro League Season 2, the leadership at S.E.A. Dragons revealed that under their new coach, the 19-year-old Connor Chittock, the team had spent considerable time on analysis and video reviews in preparation for the Grand Final. This eventually earned them £ 500 out of the total BFBS Pro League Season 2 prize pool of £ 1.000.
"Connor was one of the first people we trusted to build the competitive side of the club, and what he's achieved at 19 in such a short period has been incredible”, says Patryk Bialowas, team principal at S.E.A. Dragons, “We have always been heavily focused on analysis, but Connor has found his own balance between that traditional sports approach and competitive gaming."
