EA Sports reveals schedule for 2024-2025 ePremier League

Not that there was ever any doubt about the continuation of the hugely popular ePremier League, but fans of the game and of the sport were still very much looking forward to the official announcement of the tournament’s seventh season. The word finally came on Wednesday, November 6th, when the Premier League and Electronic Arts (EA, the developer of EA Sports FC) revealed the dates and format for the 2024-2025 season of the ePremier League. That adds another major event to the UK esports calendar for next year.

Main event in 2025

The main part of the ePremier League 2024-2025 consists of the Club Playoffs, followed by the Group Stages and the Finals. The Club Playoffs are planned for January 2025, with exact dates still to be announced. This stage will feature a team from every Premier League team and individual brackets for Xbox S|X and PS5. The Group Stages will then take place on March 1st and March 2nd, 2025, consisting of four groups. The winner of each group advances directly to the Finals, while the remaining sixteen teams get a second chance to make it to the Finals by progressing through the Knockout Stage.

This Knockout Stage will be played on March 22nd, 2025, and consists of a single elimination bracket. The best four teams will the join the four Group Stage winners in the Finals, which are set to take place on March 23rd, 2023. Through a knockout bracket, these sides will decide who will take home the 2024-2025 ePremier League title.

£ 100.000 prize pool

Besides the dates and the format for the 2024-2025 ePremier League, the announcement by EA Sports and the Premier League also included information about the tournament’s prize pool. A total of £ 100.000 will be divided amongst the best teams, according to the following breakdown:

  • 1st: £ 30.000
  • 2nd: £ 15.000
  • 3rd - 4th: £ 7.500
  • 5th – 8th: £ 5.000
  • 9th – 16th: £ 2.500
