Esports News UK announces details for upcoming Esports Spring Party

23 March 2023

On Tuesday, April 4th 2023, the next UK Esports Spring Party is taking place Platform gaming bar in Canary Wharf, in London, from 18h30 to 23h00. Organiser Esports News UK announced details about the highly anticipated event this week, mentioning that it will be the company’s biggest networking event for esports in the UK to date. The upcoming Spring Party follows the success of Esports News UK’s events in 2022, all of which sold out, and will be open to anyone wishing to attend. Tickets are being sold on a first-come first-served basis.

More than networking

While the primary purpose of the UK Esports Spring Party is to bring together people from all over the esports industry and community in the UK, this is not the only goal of the event. There will also be plenty of gaming, as the event is held in Platform’s gaming bar brand-new Canary Wharf venue. It contains more than twenty state-of-the-art console gaming booths fitted with the latest in gaming tech and comfort, including cutting-edge Philips Evnia gaming monitors.

One of the main attractions of the evening will be the mystery esports tournaments that is planned to take place. While the event’s organisers have not yet revealed much as to which titles will feature and what the competitive format will be, they did let us know that there will be some great prizes up for grabs. On top of that, Esports News UK has also announced that a special guest player will be attending the tournament, though we have no idea yet of who this could be.

“Thanks to Philips [Philips Gaming Monitors is the event’s sponsor] and Platform for teaming up with me for another UK esports party”, says Dom Sacco, editor of Esports News UK, “The tournament we have planned will be a lot of fun – watch this space on our socials for more super announcements on that soon”.

Nicolò Portunato, co-founder at Platform, naturally echoes Sacco’s sentiment and looks forward to the Spring Part as well. “We are delighted to partner for another great networking event with ENUK alongside Philips Gaming Monitors – the biggest yet”, Portunato said after the announcement of the event, “We’re excited to invite you all to our new venue for a great night of gaming, food, drink and networking with the UK esports industry”.

Open to anyone

The Platform gaming bar in Canary Wharf offers space for about 250 guests and tickets have just gone on sale via Eventbrite. As we wrote earlier, the Spring Party is open to anyone who would like to attend. All you need is one of two types of tickets for the event: there is a pack priced at £5 that includes entrance and food (Platform’s signature assortment of pizzas) and one priced at £10. This last one included entrance and food, plus any drink of your choice. Finally, Esports News UK has also revealed that Sweet Cabin, the UK’s sweet shop par excellence, will be providing sweets throughout the evening!
