Guild Esports clinch 2024 British F4 Esports Championship

2 December 2024

It was all about Formula 4 for the fans of racing and esports in the UK this week, as the last round of the official 2024 British F4 Esports Championship took place on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024. Host for the occasion was the virtual version of Brands Hatch, the motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, in the United Kingdom most famous for hosting no less than twelve F1 Grand Prix events between 1964 and 1986. It was London-based Guild Esports who ended up taking home the title after edging out Scuderia Ferrari Esports in the final race of the 2024 season.

Team title for Guild Esports

As in real-life motor racing championships, there were two titles up for grabs at the 2024 British F4 Esports Championship: the Driver Championship and the Team Championship. The former went to Scuderia Ferrari’s Graham Carroll, but the latter was brought home by Guild Esports, one of the leading names in esports in the UK. And their performance at Brands Hatch earlier this week, where team work was essential to keep Scuderia Ferrari far enough away from the top spot in the Team Championship, showed exactly why the Brits deserved that title.

As the final race of the 2024 went on, both Guild and Ferrari were very much aware of the little difference between them. They knew that every detail counted and they raced according to that knowledge, with Guild’s young roster eventually coming out on top to win the Team Championship. They successfully man-marked the Scuderia Ferrari drivers for much of the race and managed to secure an eventual 32-point lead over their main rivals from this season.

“This season has been a testament to the development, maturity and racecraft of our drivers”, said Seb Hawkins, Team Principal at Guild Racing, “Leo, Remy and Henry are fantastic talents and I am incredibly impressed with their performances. They have competed against some really experienced talent, who have raced and won in the biggest global sim championships. Now, all three will move onto their next phase of development and their scope to improve is huge.”

Excellent season overall

With the Team Championship in the pocket, Guild Esports can look back on a fantastic 2024 British F4 Championship. Besides their dominance in the team rankings, the Londoners also secured second place in the individual Driver Championship, as Henry Moore (16 years old) finished right behind champion Graham Carroll from Scuderia Ferrari.

“What a remarkable season from our three drivers, and also for Guild Racing in general. This UK win fulfils another milestone for Guild Racing, as we build out a programme that provides motorsport pathways for male and female drivers to take the journey from bedroom to real world racing. In this first year of Guild Racing we have won and competed at the highest level and in 2025 we will be launching many more initiatives to give prospects the chance to perform in sim racing.”
