Luke Littler one of the first to try Rugby League 26
22 July 2025
It looks like British darts sensation has a new gaming interest. It is a known fact that the 18 year old is a big fan of the FIFA (now EA FC) franchise and now it looks like a newly released sports title has caught his eye as well. In a recent post on his own Instagram account, he was seen playing Rugby League 26, a brand-new game that was released only a few days ago at the moment of writing, on Thursday, July 17th, 2025. This makes him one of the first people to actually play the game, which might turn out to be a fun addition to the world of esports in the UK.
Known gaming enthusiast
The fact that Littler posted his gaming adventures on his social media is itself no surprise. The current world number two is known to love video games. As a matter of fact, he even signed a sponsorship contract with Xbox ahead of the 2025 World Championship, where he crowned himself PDC World Champion. As part of the deal, every 180, every nine-dart finish and every victory during the tournament meant that Xbox would be rewarding fans across the United Kingdom with all kinds of video game prizes.
Up until recently, Littler was especially known as a big EA FC fan, as he would often be seen playing the game during his downtime from darts. Once, during a Premier League darts event, he even opened an EA FC pack on a fan’s phone during his walk to the stage. Fans also often get a glimpse of his EA FC adventures via his various social media channels, including Instagram and TikTok.
Big rugby fan
Football is not the only sport Little follows intently besides darts. The darts star is also a known rugby fan, in particular of the Warrington Wolves from his hometown Warrington in Cheshire. What’s more, after Littler became the youngest darts World Champions in history at the start of the year, the team announced that they would be renaming their stadium in honour of the 18 year old. For the first match of the new Super League season, which was played on February 21st against Catalan Dragons, the Halliwell Jones Stadium was renamed the Luke Littler Stadium.
"It's a dream come true that the club I've been a fan of since I was young has decided to name the stadium after me for a night”, said Little about the incredible initiative, “It's an absolute honour and I can't thank the club enough."
