Last weekend, MCM Comic Con London brought some of gaming’s and UK esports’ biggest worlds to London. From Friday, October 23rd, to Sunday, October 25th, all eyes in the gaming and esports world were on our capital as it hosted a series of panels, live shows and behind-the-scenes sessions across its stages.

And for those who prefer to let their actions do the talking, Comic Con London 2026 also provided the backdrop for the Street Fighter League: EMEAA Championship Play-offs. On Saturday 24th, to be exact, four of the best Street Fighter VI teams in the world joined in London to determine who would be crowned Street Fighter League: EMEAA 2026 Regular Season champions. The title plus $ 60.000 in prize money eventually went to Red Dunes from Abu Dhabi, who overcame GTW 70-30 in the grand final.

4 qualified teams

Back in September, six teams (of four players each) completed the Street Fighter League: EMEAA 2026 Regular Season by competing for four spots in the Play-offs. In this context, “EMEAA” stands for “Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia”. Below are the four teams who managed to make it to Comic Con London last weekend.

  • GTW

GTW is also known as Golden Tough Will and represents China on the international Street Fighter 6 stage. They finished the Regular Season as number one with 260 points.

  • Red Dunes

Red Dunes is an esports organisation from Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). They finished second during the Regular Season with 250 points, 10 less than winners GTW.

  • MVS

MVS is a French team that was created specially to compete in the Street Fighter League Pro EMEAA region. They finished the Regular Season in third place with 230 points.

  • YESPORTS

Finally, there was YESPORTS from Hong Kong, who qualified for the Street Fighter League: EMEAA Championship Play-offs as fourth during the Regular Season, with 200 points.

Red Dunes clinch title

Where many fans and experts were expecting GTW to have a relatively easy go at the Street Fighter League: EMEAA Championship title, it was actually Red Dunes who showed the best form. They were confident all the way up to the grand final, where they had to face the favourites in a direct confrontation. The Abu Dhabi-based team ended up beating the Chinese side 70 – 30, which earned them no less than $ 60.000 in prize money, which comes down to about £ 44.929. A total prize pool of $ 100.000 (around £ 74.882) was reserved for the Street Fighter League: EMEAA Championship Play-offs.

First title

The Street Fighter League: EMEAA Championship title is the first title for Red Dunes, which is far from surprising. It is, after all, a very young esports organization that was founded just earlier this year, on April 30th, 2026, to be precise.

"This win means a lot to me because it's our first win with our organisation, Red Dunes esports, and SFL is known to be a tournament to crown the best team”, said Adel “Big Bird” Anouche, one of the team’s founders, after their victory in London, “It's definitely ranked high for me. Truly best way to showcase our Abu Dhabi, UAE home team."
