Upcoming EA Sports FC 27 Pro season includes event in London

Excellent news for the fans of EA Sports FC and general esports in the UK, because the new season is bringing a major event to the region. The FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, which will feature 64 of the world’s best players will take place in London, serving as a final qualifying event before the FC Pro Open 27 itself. The Open Global Qualifier is set for November 5th to November 7th, 2026, while the FC Pro Open 27, EA Sports FC’s flagship mid-season global showcasae, will be kicking off on November 30th, 2026.
FC Pro Open Global Qualifier
We will go over the upcoming EA Sports FC 27 Pro season further on in this article, but first, the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier. After all, that’s the part of the 2027 season that will literally be coming to the United Kingdom a bit later this year.
The Open Global Qualifier is the qualifying stage that directly follows the Regional Qualifiers, which will be played on October 10th and 11th. These will deliver 52 teams, which will then combine with the 12 direct invites to compete at the Open Global Qualifier in London. The exact location is still unknown at the time of writing, but we do know that the event will be organised from November 5th to November 7th and that a prize pool of $ 152.000 has been reserved for it by EA Sports. That comes down to around £ 112.177.
FC Pro World Championship 2027
The goal, besides the prize money, of all the events and qualifiers is the FC Pro World Championship, the annual world championship for EA Sports FC. The Open Global Qualifier in London, the first official offline tournament of the 2027 competitive season, will determine the 16 teams that will feature at the FC Pro Open. They will join the eight directly invited teams for what is widely considered the EA Sports FC Pro mid-season highlight.
As usual, the World Championship will be the pinnacle of the FC Pro season. The top eight finishers from the FC Pro Open will be joined by competitors who qualify through selected FC Pro Leagues and the FC Pro World Championship Play-Ins, completing the field for the grand finale of the season. Competitors will be divided into six groups of six teams and battle it out for the prestigious Diogo Jota FC Pro World Championship trophy, named after the former Liverpool FC star who tragically lost his life in a car accident in the summer of 2025.
Four new countries
As part of a host of format changes and announced overhauls, EA Sports FC has also announced four new countries for the upcoming FC Pro 27 season. Bahrain, Jordan, Libya and Oman will all be joining the Middle-East region, which was announced shortly after EA welcomed investors from Saudi Arabia into their corporate structure. The company is set to be taken private following a record $ 51 billion buyout bid, which would be one of the largest leveraged buyouts in history.
