Sony launches esports-focused OLED monitors with Fnatic

21 April 2026

Big news out of the world of high-end competitive gaming hardware, because Sony has just launched a brand-new esports-focused OLED monitor. And not just that, because the new monitor was developed and designed in collaboration with London-based Fnatic Esports, one of the biggest names in UK esports. By doing so, the Japanese tech giant is entering in direct competition with ASUS and LG, who were the top two manufacturers of esports-focused OLED monitors up until now.

Approved by Fnatic

The collaboration between Fnatic and Sony for the development of the latter’s OLED monitors basically functions like a stamp of approval. Sony did not become the organisation’s official partner or supplier, but they do mention Fnatic in the promotion and description of their new Inzone M10S II OLED gaming monitor. It consists of a 27-inch OLED display with dual-mode esports capacity, meaning native 1440p at 540Hz and 1080p at 720Hz for optimal speed and a more tournament-like feel.

“Professional design in collaboration with Fnatic”, Sony writes on their website, for example, “Designed in partnership with Fnatic, the INZONE M10S offers adjustable support to optimize gaming settings for maximum performance.”

Fnatic’s role

At first glance, Sony’s newest esports-focused OLED monitor is essentially identical to the leading high-end monitors from Asus and LG that are currently available. Both the Asus ROG Swift PG27AQWP-W and the LG Ultragear 27GX790B-B are 27-inch OLEDs with 2560 x 1440 native resolution, 540 Hz peak refresh rates, and the same 720 Hz dual-mode switching. On paper, these two monitors should give players the same core experience as Sony’s new OLED monitor. As it stands though, the LG monitor comes in at a considerably lower price, while the Asus and Sony monitors are in the same price range.

One of the big questions for players and fans of esports in general is regarding Fnatic’s role in the development of the Sony INZONE M10S. How have they helped to make the hardware better than the rest and a perfect fit for esports-focused consumers? At the moment of writing, we can’t say yet, as the monitor has only just been released. Until it gets the proper independent testing and reviewing it needs, there is no real way to determine the extent to which Fnatic was involved in the actual design and development of the product.

Fnatic Fan Association

As for now, we would like to give Sony and Fnatic the benefit of the doubt by assuming that the esports organisation played a considerable role in the development of the Sony INZONE M10S. Fnatic, after all, have been keen on carefully building out their brand in recent years. Just a few months ago, for example, they launched the Fnatic Fan Association (FFA), a fan club that provides members with exclusive perks.

“A global network of Fnatic fans built to unite, empower and amplify the voice of the community that makes Fnatic what it is”, writes Fnatic about their new Fan Association, “The FFA is the official Fnatic Fan Association, a space for fans around the world to connect, organise and represent their local fandoms. Together, we create the bridge between Fnatic and its supporters, ensuring every fan has a voice in shaping our future.”
