UK players and streamers nominated for 2026 Esports Awards

As we write this piece, the 2026 Esports Awards are still about three months away. On November 17, to be exact, one of the industry’s biggest and most prestigious awards shows is set to take place in Miami, Florida, though a location is still to be determined. Something that has been determined already though, are the nominees for each of the nine main categories of the 2026 Esports Awards. And good news for esports in the UK, because a few of our biggest talents have been nominated for an award as well.
Oh, and voting has officially been opened as well, up until November 10th!
2026 Esports Awards
Before we take a look at the main categories and some of the nominees, it is interesting to mention that the Esports Awards event itself has a strong UK link as well. That is because the first edition of the Esports Awards back in 2016 was held in London, as were the two subsequent editions.
In the below overview of the nine main categories, we will focus on UK players and streamers, and UK-based organisations. Unfortunately, not every category contains a UK nominee, but the list is nevertheless a who’s who of the best esports has to offer on a global level at the moment.
- Esports Game of the Year
- No UK titles here, but major hits like League of Legends, Counter-Strike and Rocket League were nominated.
- Esports Mobile Game of the Year
- No UK titles here either, but the likes of Free Fire and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will be hoping the clinch the award.
- Esports Personality of the Year
- Marc “Caedrel” Lamont was nominated in this category, as was Jake “Boaster” Howlett.
- Streamer of the Year
- The above mentioned “Caedrel” also clinched a nomination in this category.
- Esports Content Group of the Year
- Unfortunately, no UK nominees in this category, despite UK-based organisations like Fnatic regularly grabbing esports headlines.
- Esports Content Creator of the Year
- The third and final nomination for “Caedrel”.
- Esports Commercial Partner of the Year
- UK-based Blacklyte, international retailer for computers and peripherals, has received a nomination in this category.
- Esports Tournament Organizer of the Year
- London-based ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) received a nomination in this category.
- Esports Supporting Service of the Year
- Two UK-based nominees in this category: Heaven Media and JAM Management.
Esports World Cup Player’s Choice Award
In collaboration with the Esports World Cup, there will also be an Esports World Cup Player’s Choice Award during the 2026 Esports Awards. This is an award “by players, for players” for a player who performed exceptionally during the 2026 World Cup. There are not nominees for this category, but looking at performances during the tournament, the likes of Jake “Boaster” Howlett (VALORANT) and William “mezii” Merriman are legit candidates.
Vote for 2026 Esports Awards
The ballots are open until November 10th. You can cast your vote via the official 2026 Esports Awards website, once a day and for the categories that interest you. In the last week of voting, dubbed “Turbo Week”, all votes are counted double.
